Photo to 3D print

Turn any photo into a 3D model you can print.

Drop a picture on your 3D Designer agent and Agents HQ sends it to Meshy, sizes the model in millimeters, and saves an STL for your slicer. Make figurines, mini-mes, keychains, magnets and gifts from a photo, then send the model back to add a base, a stand or a keychain hole.

  • Windows 10 and 11
  • One-time purchase
  • Free 3-day trial
How it works

From picture to print file in four steps

1. Pick a pictureA photo, a drawing, or a picture your Image Creator agent made. One object on a plain background works best.
2. Meshy builds the modelAgents HQ sends it to Meshy with your own Meshy key. You watch the progress in the 3D Workshop.
3. Sized in millimetersThe built-in 3D engine sizes it (100 mm tall unless you say otherwise) and checks it for printing.
4. Print itSave the STL for any slicer, or keep the GLB with Meshy's colors. Send it back to add a base, a stand or lettering.

What you need

  • Agents HQ for Windows (one-time purchase, or the free 3-day trial to look around)
  • The Image to 3D add-on: $4.99 once, unlocked inside the app
  • Your own Meshy account. Meshy's API needs a paid Meshy plan (Pro or higher). A model uses about 30 Meshy credits, roughly $0.60 on Pro.

Pictures that turn out best

  • One whole object or character, nothing cropped off
  • Plain, light background and soft even light
  • A slight three-quarter angle shows more of the shape than straight-on
  • No pictures? The Image Creator add-on draws one for you, already set up for 3D.
Questions

Good to know

What file types do I get?

An STL file you can open in any slicer (Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura), a GLB file that keeps Meshy's painted colors, and a project file for the 3D Workshop.

How big will the model be?

100 mm tall by default. Write the size you want in the task, like "make it 150 mm tall" or "4 inches wide", and the model is scaled to it.

Is Meshy included?

No. Image to 3D uses your own Meshy account, so Meshy bills you directly for the credits you use. Meshy's API needs a paid Meshy plan.

Can I change the model after it's made?

Yes. Open it in the 3D Workshop to move, cut, sculpt or paint it, or send it back to your 3D Designer agent with a note like "add a round base with our logo".

Can I print it in several colors?

The GLB keeps Meshy's colors. For multi-color printing you can paint faces in the 3D Workshop and export a color OBJ for Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer.

Do I need the add-on to make 3D models?

No. The 3D Designer agent in every copy of Agents HQ builds models from a written description. Image to 3D is for making models straight from a picture.
