Sintra AI alternative

A Sintra AI alternative with no subscription

Sintra and Agents HQ both give a small business a team of AI helpers with job titles. They're built differently: Sintra is a monthly subscription with a credit allowance, and Agents HQ is a Windows app you buy once and connect to an AI account you control. Here's a fair side-by-side so you can pick the one that fits.

Short version: if you want AI helpers on your phone with no setup and you're happy paying monthly, Sintra is built for that. If you work from a Windows PC and would rather pay once, choose your own AI model and keep your files on your own computer, Agents HQ is the alternative.

What Sintra does that Agents HQ doesn't

It's worth being clear about where Sintra is the better fit:

  • Mobile apps. Sintra has mobile apps. Agents HQ does its work on your Windows PC; the phone pairing lets you send tasks and approve results, but the PC has to be running the app.
  • No PC needed. If you work on a Mac or only from your phone today, Agents HQ isn't for you yet. A Mac version is planned.
  • Integrations. Sintra connects with other tools. Agents HQ doesn't post, send or sync anything for you: it drafts, and you stay in control of what goes out.
  • No API key to set up. Sintra's credits cover the AI. With Agents HQ you paste a key from an AI provider once. A free Google Gemini key takes about two minutes, and the app walks you through it.
  • A refund window. Sintra offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. Agents HQ offers a free 3-day trial before you pay instead.

What Agents HQ does differently

  • You pay once. The app is a one-time purchase with free updates, and one license works on up to 2 of your own computers.
  • You see and control the AI bill. Usage is billed by the AI company you pick at its normal rates. The app shows an estimated cost for every task, and you set a monthly limit for the team and for each agent.
  • No credits to ration. There's no allowance that resets. A busy month just costs a little more in AI usage; a quiet month costs almost nothing.
  • Pick the AI per agent. Put proposal writing on a premium model and quick drafts on a cheaper one. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek are supported.
  • Your files stay on your PC. Tasks, results and your encrypted API key live on your computer and go only to the AI provider you choose.
  • Built-in templates. Pick contractor, 3D printing, real estate, online store or agency, and all 16 agents get a job that fits.
  • Scheduled jobs and a 3D Workshop. Run tasks daily, on weekdays or weekly, and turn any agent into a 3D designer that builds printable models.

What a year looks like

On Sintra's yearly plan, the discounted price shown when we checked was $187.20 for the year (its list price for yearly billing is $52/month, or $624 a year). With Agents HQ you pay $49.99 once, plus whatever your agents use at your AI provider's rates.

As an illustration only: if your team handled 300 writing tasks in a month at 2 cents each, that's about $6 paid to your AI provider that month. On Google Gemini's free tier, usage within Google's daily limits isn't billed at all. Your real cost depends on the model you pick and how long the tasks are, and the app's cost meter shows it as you go.

Which one should you choose?

Sintra may suit you if

  • You want to work mostly from your phone
  • You use a Mac, or don't have a Windows PC
  • You need integrations with other tools
  • You prefer an all-in-one monthly price with the AI included

Agents HQ may suit you if

  • You'd rather pay once than every month
  • You want to choose the AI model and see what each task costs
  • You want your business files to stay on your own PC
  • You work from Windows 10 or 11

Switching from Sintra

  1. Start the free 3-day trial and pick the business type closest to yours.
  2. Connect an AI. The easiest start is a free Google Gemini API key.
  3. Paste your brand details into About your business: what you sell, prices, service area and tone. Every agent uses them.
  4. Rename agents to match the helpers you relied on, and put recurring jobs (a weekly post plan, Monday follow-ups) on a schedule.

Questions

Good to know

Is Agents HQ really a one-time payment?
